TAKE THE PLUNGE FOR PSU AND SPECIAL OLYMPICS
Date: January 28th
Location: Sandy Spring State Park
Annapolis, MD
As we all know, it has been a difficult few months for all of us in the Penn State community. However, we are constantly reminded of all the good that we as proud PSU alumni accomplish in our daily lives. In fact, we have one of those opportunities right now. One of our Chapter member families, the Waschak’s, are very involved in Special Olympics, and, in particular the Polar Bear Plunge scheduled for Saturday, January 28th, at Sandy Point State Park. Allan Waschak graduated from PSU in 1970 and his youngest son is a 2010 grad. Allan’s middle son, Mike Waschak, is a VIP plunger who has done the plunge for many years with the likes of Governors Erlhich and O’Malley as well as many Ravens. Allan is trying to get a huge group of PSU alums to join Mike’s plunging team. To join Mike’s team go to https://www.kintera.org/faf/r/default.asp?ievent=484131&lis=1. Click on “Join a team” and scroll down to “Mike Waschak.”
This is an opportunity to support a great cause
and to check taking the plunge off your bucket list!!! |
